This photo popped up whilst having a look through FaceAche Rik Hoving posted this killer shot from the 40s. It's from the Ed Jensen Collection, it shows a Westergard built 36 ford, with the Colari roadster in the foreground in an early guise. this must have been a early shot when he had first bought it from Jack Davis, note the rod brakes and pump in head motor.
The Jack Davis Version
The Jack Colari Version
Jack Colari rebuilt the car, changing to "juice" brakes, 40 ford steels & a 59A flathead, running Edelbrock Block letter heads amongst other speed equipment. Jack regularly ran the roadster on the lakes with the Lancers car club, running a best speed of a 128.38 in 47.
